Vintage NEW YORK YANKEES VINTAGE GAME USED BATTING HELMET

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. This is an offer for a 1960s/1970s NY Yankees Batting helmet. The helmet is manufactured by The American Baseball Cap company, Media, Penna. U.S. Patent no. 2,698,434 as inscribed on the underside of the bill. It is also marked American Baseball Cap and Size 7 1/8 on the sticker inside the cap. The helmet was part of an estate sale of Edwin Salcedo, a former NY Yankee minor league player for several different Yankee farm clubs including the Prince William Cannons in 1992 through 1993. I purchased his complete catchers gear, and various uniform pieces including his 1993 Cannons Jersey and two pairs of pants. The batting helmet was included in the purchase. Please note that by 1993, this style helmet had long been outlawed for players.  So I don't believe it was used by him but acquired by him, perhaps in Spring Training. Regardless, the cap shows good vintage use.
