LICINIUS, Roman Emperor A.D.308-324
For the majority of his reign, Licinius I (Emperor of the East) was a rival of Constantine I (Emperor of the West).  Licinius and his wife Constantia (who was sister of Constantine I) had a son who they named Licinius II.  Constantine also had several sons.  The first of several civil wars between these two emperors concluded with a treaty that made all the sons
Caesar
.  At that point the coinage of the empire exploded with coins from Licinius I and II; and from Constantine I, Constantine II, Constantius II, Crispus, and Constans.  By 324 A.D. Constantine had defeated Licinius in battle and had him hanged a year later, against the pleas of his sister.  Most of Licinius' coins were of the
IOVI CONSERVATORI
type, meaning "Jupiter, protect (or save) the emperors".  Looks like Jupiter was limited in the number of emperors he could save.
IOVI CONSERVATORI
A common Roman coin reverse type in the late third century and early fourth century has the legend
IOVI CONSERVATORI
and shows Jupiter standing, leaning on a scepter with an eagle. Jupiter holds a palladium (a globe with Victory on top of it).
