    Description

Depression Carnival Glass Princess Pink Anchor Hocking Sandwich Plate w Handles
has a minor chip in the rim, about the size of a pencil point.  Note: the picture of the chip makes it appear larger than it is because the material magnification also reveals the small air bubbles surrounding the chip, which are minuscule to the naked eye
This sandwich plate is an excellent example of depression era glassware from the 1940s
The plate is pink in color and is about 11 ½” in width, including the handles
The plate was manufactured by the Hocking Glass Company, which was founded in 1905 by Isaac Jacob (Ike) Collins in Lancaster, Ohio, and named after the Hocking River
It also has a manufacture’s irregularity in the right hand handle, from an air bubble, about the size of a small piece of rice
Other than the miniscule chip, the plate looks as good as new, with the intensity of the pink color changing depending on how light hits the plate
