We designed this custom plate to mount the Uniden SDS100 scanner to a standard AMPS pattern mount. All of the existing solutions either do not have enough clearance for the larger battery or they rely on using the removable belt clip to mount, making the scanner swing around when in use.
This mount is extremely strong and solid and will not let the scanner swing. No need to remove battery to install - you can insert sideways then rotate to position.
The back has a standard AMPS hole pattern (30 x 38mm) and the holes are 3mm in diameter and 5mm deep. Typical use is to screw this plate to your existing mounting solution where AMPS pattern holes are used (this is the standard for most vehicle and aircraft mounting brackets).
Made of high-strength carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate, the plate will not be affected by heat UV rays. We recommend using coarse-thread screws to install (sheet metal or wood-type are good - standard machine screws may not hold).
